Lt. Gen. Robert Skinner: $200M in Task Orders Awarded Under JWCC Procurement Vehicle

Lt. Gen. Robert Skinner, director of the Defense Information Systems Agency, said the Department of Defense has placed task orders worth $200 million combined under the Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability contract since the award to four vendors was announced in December 2022, Breaking Defense reported Tuesday.

He gave the JWCC procurement vehicle update as part of his keynote remarks at an AFCEA TechNet event in Georgia.

Amazon Web Service, Google, Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) and Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) won the shared contract valued at $9 billion over five and a half years.

Skinner, a two-time Wash100 awardee, told the event audience that DOD is preparing an additional 13 task orders million and the Joint All Domain Command and Control strategy is reflected in nine orders.

“We are working hand in hand with the Enterprise Cloud Management Agency and the other service cloud offerings to see how we can work together to make sure the department continues to get best value for their cloud capabilities and cloud hosting,” the DISA director added.
