Nine companies will compete for work under an $800 million U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contract to conduct government installation cleanup efforts focused on a fire suppressant containing perfluoroalkyl chemicals.
The firm-fixed-price award covers film-forming foam removal, disposal and replacement services, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
USACE received 14 bids for the project and expects the work to conclude on Feb. 14, 2029.
