Doug Bush, assistant secretary of the Army for acquisition, logistics, and technology, accepted his 2023 Wash100 Award from the award’s founder, Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson, at the Potomac Officers Club’s recent Army Summit.
The summit gathered the service branch’s top officials and stewards for a riveting day of speeches, panel discussions and networking opportunities. Browse POC’s list of upcoming events here. Its much anticipated 9th Annual Intel Summit is just around the corner, on Sept. 21, and will feature addresses from intelligence community stars like Dr. Stacey Dixon, VADM Frank Whitworth III and Doug Cossa.
The Wash100 is a decade-long, annual tradition that honors government contracting and the federal sector’s best and brightest. The award recognizes household names and quiet VIPs alike, qualified by their outstanding contributions made to the industry and to American national security. Winners demonstrate these contributions via exemplary vision, innovation and reliability and are undoubtedly the leaders of tomorrow.
2023 constitutes the first year Bush has garnered the award, bestowed after he had occupied his current role for about a year (he was confirmed in Feb. 2022). Thus, 2022 represented a banner year for the longtime public servant, a period guided by five priorities and resulting in a near-half-billion dollar contract awarded to Lockheed Martin for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems M124 launchers and a $1.2 billion contract issued to Raytheon Missiles and Defense.
