Parsons (NYSE: PSN) will provide the Defense Threat Reduction Agency with vulnerability assessment and other support services under a potential five-year, $170 million task order.
The company said Wednesday it was also tasked with assisting the operational programs of DTRA’s Nuclear Enterprise Directorate in addition to performing analyses, design reviews and technical support for the agency and the Department of Defense.
According to Jon Moretta, president of engineered systems at Parsons, the contractor will use its threat mitigation capabilities to help DTRA achieve its mission objectives.
Work will be handled by Parsons’ federal solutions segment. Services will be provided during a one-year base period and four one-year extension options.
The task order was awarded under the Assessments, Exercises, Modeling and Simulation Support indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
