Mark Eddings, former technical director of the interagency Space Security and Defense Program, has been named senior vice president of space market at LMI.
His 15-year experience in the industry includes leading the establishment of the space control force designs of the U.S. Space Force, LMI said Thursday.
Eddings previously advised the director of SSDP, a joint Department of Defense and the U.S. Intelligence Community initiative aimed to formulate policies, requirements and budget proposals for commercial and military space security.
His team’s Space Force designs have led to more than $10 billion in resiliency upgrades and new capabilities in the branch since 2014.
“LMI not only views space as most critical to our defense and intel markets, but will increasingly be critical to our solutions in the homeland and civilian markets,” said Doug Wagoner, president and CEO of LMI and a four-time Wash100 awardee.
