HII‘s (NYSE: HII) mission technologies division will continue to help the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency migrate enterprise information technology workloads to a multicloud environment under a five-year, $84 million contract.
HII said Tuesday subcontractors on the recompeted work are AgileBeat, Ampsight, Compass and GIT-G. The teammembers will provide research, development, test and evaluation analytical services to the NGA Cloud Program Management Office.
NGA seeks to shift its IT applications and missions to a hybrid cloud environment where other defense and government agencies can readily access mission-critical data to support national security priorities.
“We look forward to applying our expertise, tools and processes to optimize NGA’s hybrid cloud strategy and to help enable users around the world to access timely mission-critical data,” Grant Hagen, president of HII Mission Technologies’ cyber, electronic warfare and space business group.
The award was issued under the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center’s multiple-award contract vehicle.
HII previously worked with Ampsight to help NGA adopt and operate commercial cloud services and create a hybrid cloud strategy.
