General Dynamics IT Unit Books $320M in Consular Affairs Bureau Support Task Orders

General Dynamics’ (NYSE: GD) information technology business won a pair of task orders valued at $320 million to support U.S. Bureau of Consular Affairs operations in South America.

The recompete tasks encompass visa application and processing services in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Paraguay and Uruguay, the company said Thursday.

GDIT secured the work through the bureau’s Global Support Strategy for Overseas Consular Support Services 2.0 contract. The business will apply digital systems to support visa appointment scheduling, biometric enrollment, payment collection and data analytics.

One of the orders is worth $200 million and will focus on the Andean South America. The other task order, valued at $120 million, will be carried out in Brazil.

The bureau set a two-year period for base performance and four two-year option periods for the work.
