Akima has finalized its purchase of Pinnacle Solutions in a move aimed at expanding the former’s scope into the defense training and simulation business.
Tina Tucker will remain president of Pinnacle as it begins to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Akima, the government services firm said Monday.
The acquisition, which was previously announced in April, was expected include integrated offerings to help overcome customers’ mission challenges. Pinnacle brings expertise in flight operations and training, including state-of-the art products designed for air, ground, maritime and unmanned domains.
Akima President and CEO Bill Monet commented, “Pinnacle’s talented people and commitment to their customer’s mission complements Akima’s value-driven culture.”
The four-time Wash100 awardee added that Pinnacle will contribute to Akima’s aerospace customer service delivery.
