Kerry Wisnosky, chief operating officer at Quantum Space, has been named president and CEO at the Rockville, Maryland-headquartered geostationary and cislunar payload transportation company.
The 25-year space industry veteran will direct the company’s strategy amid preparations for the maiden deployment of its Ranger multi-purpose orbital transfer vehicle, Quantum Space said Friday.
He succeeds Steve Jurczyk, a former NASA official who helped establish the commercial space infrastructure and services provider and will transition to an executive vice president role at investment firm IBX.
Wisnosky is co-founder of Millennium Engineering and Integration, which merged with QuantiTech in 2021 and subsequently rebranded as Axient.
Quantum Space aims to launch its Ranger spacecraft in early 2025 to carry customer payloads and hosted assets into geostationary and cislunar orbits.
