Garry Schwartz, former president of the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance group at HII’s (NYSE: HII) Mission Technologies division, has been elevated to chief operating officer within the same unit.
The company said Thursday it also promoted Todd Gentry from a senior vice president role to president of the C5ISR group under HII Mission Technologies.
Schwartz is a 21-year U.S. Marine Corps veteran who previously held senior leadership positions at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) and Alion Science and Technology.
Gentry joined HII in 2019 and spent 25 years in the U.S. Army. His military career included time as director of the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command’s advanced aviation assessment portfolio and various roles that supported U.S. Special Operations Command.
“Garry and Todd’s proven expertise building large business operations at HII, paired with their long history of success across the defense industry, demonstrates they are the exceptional leaders to support our customers’ missions and help us achieve our growth objectives,” said Andy Green, president of HII Mission Technologies and five-time recipient of the Wash100 Award.
