Daniel McCoy, former chief innovation officer at the Transportation Security Administration, has joined advisory firm BMNT as head of business development.
He will aim to expand BMNT’s innovation and transition services to organizations involved in mission areas such as national defense, intelligence gathering, homeland security, space exploration and biomedical and health research, the California-based company said Thursday.
McCoy’s TSA tenure spanned over two years from May 2020 to October 2022, according to his LinkedIn profile. He oversaw the development of an agency doctrine to foster creativity and innovation at the agency and established a pipeline to create a system for developing innovative processes.
Previously, he worked as domain manager and senior consultant at Deloitte, financial analyst at the legacy Raytheon company and legislative assistant at the New York State Assembly.
