Christy Taylor, a 15-year veteran of Austal‘s shipbuilding arm in the U.S., has been elevated to the subsidiary’s newly created chief operating officer for transformation role.
She will report directly to Austal USA President Rusty Murdaugh and oversee production control, supply chain management and human resources operations in her new position, the company said Monday.
Taylor joined the Mobile, Alabama-headquartered shipbuilder in 2007 as a senior finance team member and was promoted to the controller post in 2010.
A Georgia State University graduate, she obtained her certified public accountant license in the states of Alabama and Florida.
