The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers expects to issue a formal solicitation notice by June 20 regarding a potential $5 billion multiple-award contract for emergency power augmentation and generation facility repair services in Puerto Rico.
USACE’s Savannah District will be responsible for the projects to be competed at the task order level on an unrestricted basis, according to a notice posted Wednesday on SAM.gov.
The agency is seeking contractors to provide land-based temporary generating units, temporary transformers, control cabling as well as equipment installation, operation and maintenance services.
O&M services will include coordinating with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority and Luma Energy.
The MATOC has a five-year ordering period and will require vendors to perform work under hybrid firm-fixed-price task orders.
USACE estimates the proposal due date is July 20.
