VSE (Nasdaq: VSEC) has agreed to purchase Desser Aerospace, a distributor of aviation tires and aircraft components to military and commercial aftermarket.
Alexandria, Virginia-based VSE said Thursday it expects the deal to diversify the company’s aviation segment and expand its reach into new international markets.
Desser Aerospace provides component maintenance, repair and overhaul services at its locations in California, Tennessee, the U.K. and Australia.
Both parties expect to close the transaction in three months upon receiving regulatory approvals.
VSE also agreed to sell Desser Aerospace’s proprietary solutions businesses to aerospace and defense components provider Loar Group.
