Mary Petryszyn, former corporate vice president of Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), was named to the board of directors of Saab, according to the Swedish aerospace and defense company.
The executive retired from Northrop in mid-January, wrapping up her decadelong career at the company, where she most recently served as president of its defense systems sector.
Petryszyn, a two-time Wash100 Award recipient, brings to the Saab board experience in driving growth in domestic and international defense markets through strategy development, operational execution and financial performance.
According to her LinkedIn profile, she was also with the former Raytheon company and its various businesses for more than a decade before moving to Northrop.
Her Saab board election was first reported by Inside Defense on Monday.
