Mark Bortfeld, a three-decade government contracting industry veteran, has joined ManTech as senior vice president of the Navy segment.
He succeeds Red Hoover, who went into retirement after a more than 10-year career at ManTech, and will directly report to David Hathaway, executive VP and general manager of the company’s defense sector, the Herndon, Virginia-based federal technology services contractor said Monday.
Bortfeld’s “knowledge of customer relationship management and his track record of managing successful business units are just some of the achievements that will help ManTech continue to grow and support our Navy customers’ missions,” said Hathaway.
Bortfeld most recently served as VP and GM of Navy and Marine Corps programs at Peraton, where he managed capabilities across unmanned platforms and services, mission systems and applications.
The U.S. Navy veteran also held senior executive roles at Perspecta, Hewlett-Packard and Electronic Data Systems.
