Sarah Leeper, most recently interim leader for national security and space at Draper, has assumed the role of vice president and general manager for electronic systems at the nonprofit research company.
She will directly report to Jerry Wohletz, president and CEO of Draper, as a member of the senior leadership team and will oversee microelectronics, autonomy and other aspects of the electronic systems business area through the companyâs office in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Draper said Monday.
Wohletz said Leeperâs customer insight and programmatic understanding will be key as Draper continues to invest, innovate and grow in support of U.S. national security missions.
Leeper brings to the role more than two decades of experience in defense and aerospace, security, financial technology, high-performance computing and microelectronics markets.
She has held various positions at Draper since joining the company in 2016, including principal director for defense systems with oversight of a program office that supports U.S. military branches and defense prime contractors.
