Deloitte Forms Space-Focused Professional Services Unit

Deloitte has launched a business unit that will specialize in advising government and commercial clients on space-related investment opportunities.

Deloitte Space will employ scientists, technologists and advisers to assist organizations interested in pursuing space as a business, a mission or a growth initiative, the professional services firm said Monday.

The newly formed practice will offer end-to-end services to help customers modernize systems and capabilities, conduct research on market opportunities and implement tech applications specific to the sector.

Alan Brady, a 14-year Deloitte veteran, leads the space business’ work in the aerospace and defense segments.

Sam Kapreilian oversees U.S. consulting services within the unit, while Shalini Bhatia is focused on the technology, media and telecommunications industries.

Deloitte estimated that the market for commercial low-Earth orbit operations will reach $312 billion by 2035 and cited the maturing launch services industry and LEO satellite services as among the forces that will drive the growth.
