Reston, Virginia-based federal contractor Core4ce has acquired information technology security firm PatchAdvisor for an undisclosed sum, GovCon Wire has learned.
Core4ce said Monday it will operate PatchAdvisor as a subsidiary and expects to expand its portfolio of cybersecurity offerings with the addition of the acquired company’s penetration testing capabilities.
Alexandria, Virginia-based PatchAdvisor has been delivering information assurance, vulnerability assessment support and computer security services to customers within the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community and other federal agencies since 2003.
“Uniting PatchAdvisor’s assessment capabilities with Core4ce’s defensive cyber expertise allows us to provide the full spectrum of cyber services to our customers,” said Core4ce CEO Jack Wilmer.
Core4ce provides continuous monitoring and other cybersecurity services for DOD. The company has secured over $500 million in defense cyber and engineering contracts and made strategic acquisitions since its establishment in 2019.
