Akima has agreed to acquire Pinnacle Solutions, a training and simulation products provider to the defense sector, in a move to gain a bigger footing in military programs.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed and Akima said Monday that Pinnacle will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary once the acquisition is completed.
Bill Monet, president and CEO of Akima, said the company aims to help customers address mission challenges by integrating offerings through the acquisition.
The 2023 Wash100 award recipient added that the two companies “share a deep commitment to exceeding customer expectations and delivering exceptional value to our customers, employees and shareholders.”
U.S. Army veteran Mike Durant founded Pinnacle in 2008 and serves as the chairman of the board of directors.
The Huntsville, Alabama-headquartered company offers technology products and services designed to help customers operate air, ground, maritime and unmanned platforms.
