The U.S. Navy has issued a $622 million award to TranLogistics, a transportation and supply chain services provider, as a modification of a potential 10-year multiple-award contract for husbanding services that was originally announced in 2020.
The amendment to the previously awarded $2.12 billion contract adds new providers for the remaining three of the five-year base performance period, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
TranLogistics was originally chosen for a contract spot to offer land transportation, communication, force protection, utilities and general charter to military and government agencies in the U.S. or overseas.
The service branch referred the company to the Small Business Administration for a Certificate of Competency to expand the number of work locations under the contract from two to 21.
As a result of the modification, TranLogistics will perform work in eastern and western U.S. and U.S. territories, as well as the following regions:

- Central America
- China
- Djibouti
- Eastern Europe/Black Sea
- Indian Ocean
- Japan
- North America
- Northern Atlantic
- Oceania
- Panama
- Russia
- South America

The GMAC could extend through October 2030 if the option periods are exercised.
The Commander, Naval Surface Forces Pacific provided the initial funds, while additional financing will be obligated from the Navy’s fiscal year 2023 operations and maintenance budget, as well as funds from the Military Sealift Command and U.S. Fleet Forces Command.
