McAleese and Associates is hosting its 14th Annual Defense Programs Conference, one of the largest and most informative yearly events in the government contracting industry, on March 15.
This year’s star-studded speaker lineup consists of the top decision makers across the Department of Defense, including officials like Heidi Shyu, William LaPlante, Frank Kendall — all 2023 Wash100 Award winners — and so many others.
Jim McAleese, principal at McAleese and Associates and GovCon Expert, said the timing of this year’s highly-anticipated conference coincides perfectly with the release of the 2024 federal budget request, which will certainly be a major talking point for the event’s speakers.
“There should be strong tailwinds that we’ll be seeing as we go into the conference,” McAleese told Executive Mosaic. “During that day, whatever the size of the budget increase that we’re going to see for 2024, attendees will get a comprehensive insight into every aspect of what’s happening in the Department of Defense,” he added.
The more than 550 attendees at the conference can expect to walk away with insights into the situation in Ukraine, how the DOD is learning from the conflict, and what each military service is doing to adapt to and prepare for the potential China fight, McAleese said.
“If everyone can basically have said, ‘I got a good understanding of what’s happening in Ukraine, here are the major lessons coming out of this, and I’ve got a good confidence at where the warfighter is going in terms of the China fight,’ that is a day’s worth of work well done,” he explained.
Registration and the waitlist for the event are currently closed, however, the conference will be livestreamed. Visit McAleese.com for more information and to view the full lineup.
