In her current role, Gray oversees the delivery of offerings and capabilities meant to modernize government operations with a focus on enterprise applications design and development, business process services delivery and IT modernization.
Gray has advocated for science, technology, engineering and mathematics education over her two-decade career, encouraging students to pursue careers in STEM fields to help address the talent shortage for cybersecurity professionals, developers and engineers.
“There are simply not enough young men and women entering the technical career fields that we’re going to need for the future,” Gray said.
“We have to expose more kids at an early age to these types of skills so that we can build the workforce of tomorrow,” she added.
She further advanced her STEM advocacy when she chaired the board of directors of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association International over a three-year term, which concluded in 2021.
In 2022, Gray received the Women’s Appreciation Award from AFCEA International in recognition of her leadership in promoting STEM and furthering the careers of women.
“I am incredibly honored to receive AFCEA’s Women’s Appreciation Award. I take immense pride in building a skilled STEM workforce by inspiring women at all levels to pursue careers in national security,” said Gray.
“I believe teams that are inclusive of all people, especially women, enhance the workplace and become more powerful,” she added.
In 2022, CACI received major IT-related contracts from defense, intelligence and federal civilian agency customers. One of the notable awards is a $5.7 billion blanket purchase agreement from the U.S. Air Force for enterprise IT support services.
The company will provide the U.S. Navy with digital engineering and transformation support under a $558 million task order awarded through the Department of Defense Information Analysis Multiple Award Contract vehicle.
CACI will offer digital services and technology support for a variety of DOD activities under a $258 million task order from the Defense Agencies Initiative.
The government services contractor also secured a $123.4 million task order to help the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic engineer and integrate IT platforms that support the U.S. military’s health readiness mission.
In September 2022, CACI received the Nunn-Perry Award from DOD for its support and partnership with CDIT, a Louisiana-based small disadvantaged business that specializes in software development and IT management services, through the department’s Mentor-Protege Program.
Prior to CACI, Gray was president of BAE Systems Inc.’s intelligence and security sector. She spent more than a decade at Lockheed Martin, where she served as vice president of enterprise IT solutions for information systems and global services-defense.
