BAE Systems has received a $256.8 million contract option to manufacture more than 40 additional amphibious combat vehicles for the U.S. Marine Corps.
USMC ordered 25 units of the ACV Personnel variant for $145.3 million and 15 ACV Command vehicles for $111.5 million, the company said Monday.
Contract funds will also cover the costs of fielding and support services for the ACV variants.
ACV production efforts will occur at company facilities located in Virginia, California, Michigan, South Carolina and Pennsylvania.
BAE also builds the ACV Recovery and ACV-30 variants under existing production contracts with the service branch.
In 2018, the partnership between BAE and Iveco Defence Systems won a $1.2 billion contract to produce up to 204 eight-wheeled vehicles for the service branch.
