QinetiQ Group‘s U.S. subsidiary has won a $92.7 million contract to develop, test and demonstrate a night vision device equipped with digital sensor and display systems.
Contractor work under the Digital Night Vision Technology program will include analysis, transition, integration, initial deployment, training and sustainment services, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Army Contracting Command received four bids for the cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price contract via an online solicitation.
The service branch expects DNVT to include a full-color display, algorithms and image processing hardware to facilitate augmented reality via an open standards network, according to solicitation documents posted on SAM.gov.
DNVT is intended to help soldiers view battlefield and air data on the heads-up display.
