Aviation services provider AAR (NYSE: AIR) has purchased Trax USA, a software company that specializes in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul.
AAR said Monday that the acquisition aligns with its strategy to deliver digital platforms to aftermarket customers.
Miami-based Trax was founded in 1999 and has since supported 5,000 aircraft through airlines and government aviation operators that use its critical software applications.
The Trax eMRO platform aids in materials planning, purchasing, scheduling, work orders, engineering, regulatory compliance and workforce management. It also developed eMobility, a mobile suite that features digital manuals, fleet status, task cards and warehouse management.
“We believe we can support Trax’s continued growth by investing in its platforms and by leveraging our global relationships to help Trax reach additional customers,” said John Holmes, AAR’s chairman, president and CEO.
“We also believe that over time this combination will allow more customers to better access AAR’s parts and services offerings.”
