Serco Group’s North American subsidiary has received a potential $690 million contract to continue to help the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services determine the eligibility of consumers to buy health insurance plans through the Federal Health Insurance Exchanges.
Serco Inc. will help consumers verify their eligibility and facilitate their enrollment for coverage, further develop the eligibility support platform used for processing consumer transactions and update automated processing tools under the follow-on contract, the company said Thursday.
The contract will run for four years and seven months and will take effect on July 1.
Serco Inc. CEO Tom Watson said the company has supported CMS in helping consumers secure health insurance through the Affordable Care Act since 2013 and is committed to continuing its support to customers enrolled in ACA by contributing its case management expertise.
Watson added that the company will facilitate service delivery by leveraging its experience in program management, data analytics, operational services and customer support.
