Frank Sturek, former president of SkyePoint Decisions, has been named CEO at Lexington Park, Maryland-based technology and engineering services company Compendium Federal Technology.
CFT said Wednesday his appointment comes nearly a week after private equity firm Boathouse Capital acquired the company.
Sturek noted CFT’s work to support systems at the U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Systems Command.
“I look forward to working with the current operations team and staff to deliver exceptional small business innovation and service to other parts of the U.S. Navy and the [Department of Defense],” he added.
The 21-year Army veteran helped spearhead SkyePoint, an information technology services provider to the federal sector, as its president from June 2021 to October 2022.
He previously held growth-focused and operations roles at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), Engility, Alion Science and Technology and Axiologic Solutions.
During his military career, Sturek served in multiple combat tours, leadership positions and an assignment at the Pentagon’s Joint Chiefs of Staff.
