Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has elevated Scott Vander Hamm to the positions of vice president and corporate lead executive for the company’s U.S. Strategic Command and Air Force Global Strike Command accounts, according to a LinkedIn post.
The retired Air Force major general joined Northrop in August 2019 as corporate director of AF aviation programs after nearly two years at Innovative Defense Technologies as director of strategic initiatives.
Vander Hamm was a six-time commander of military units during his 32-year service in the Air Force.
He logged more than 4,600 flying hours as command pilot of several aircraft platforms such as the B-2 bomber and the T-38 jet trainer.
His military career culminated in late 2017 in his role as assistant deputy chief of staff for operations at USAF headquarters.
