Philip Harlow, former president and CEO of Domo Tactical Communications, has been named president of Telesat‘s (Nasdaq: TSAT) U.S. subsidiary that offers satellite communications services to the U.S. government.
The 25-year industry veteran will succeed Tom Eaton, who will retire at year end after 14 months as head of Telesat Government Solutions, the company said Monday.
Harlow previously led engineering and executive posts at DRS Technical Services, Intelsat General, Caprock Communications, Esatel Communications, and other satellite operators and defense integrators.
He became president and chief operating officer of XTAR, and vice president of global solutions at SES Government Solutions.
While at telecom firm DTC Communications, he was responsible for short- and long-term growth strategies in corporate, team and technology infrastructure.
Before he joined the private sector, Harlow served in the U.K. army as a signals officer.
