Oshkosh‘s (NYSE: OSK) defense business will continue assisting the U.S. Army in its deployment of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle Family of Vehicles as part of a $543.5 million contract modification.
The award requires Oshkosh Defense to perform JLTV fielding support work at its Wisconsin location until July 31, 2024, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Army Contracting Command obligated the full contract modification amount at the time of award. Funds were taken from the military service branches’ allocations for the fiscal year 2022 and 2023, as well as from the foreign military sales budget.
Oshkosh JLTV offers protected mobility and features the company’s TAK-4i intelligent independent suspension system. It is also designed to provide integrated command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities in support of customer missions.
