Ken Bedingfield, most recently president, chief financial officer and chief operating officer at Epirus, has succeeded Leigh Madden as CEO of the Los Angeles-based technology company.
Grant Verstandig, board chairman at Epirus, said in a statement published Tuesday Bedingfield’s leadership and decades of experience will be key in implementing the company’s strategic priorities and advancing the culture of rapid innovation.
Bedingfield is a senior finance executive in the defense and aerospace industry. Prior to Epirus, he spent eight years at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), where he held the roles of corporate CFO, chief accounting officer and CFO for the aerospace systems sector.
He brings to the role his experience in contracts and pricing, major proposals and program performance, global supply chain and traditional finance functions.
Epirus Chief Product Officer Andy Lowery will assume additional responsibilities as COO.
Lowery, who joined Epirus in October 2021, was CEO and co-founder of RealWear. His aerospace and defense industry career included time as president and general manager at DAQRI and as a chief engineer at Raytheon.
Epirus develops software-defined directed energy systems and other power management platforms for defense and commercial applications.
