Software company C3 AI (NYSE: AI) will advance the deployment of enterprise artificial intelligence applications across the Missile Defense Agency under the first three orders awarded through a potential five-year, $500 million production-other transaction agreement.
C3 AI said Tuesday the first order calls for the delivery of an enterprise AI capability that would enable MDA to combine large datasets, manage pipelines of machine learning generative models, quickly produce novel threat signatures and export data in MDA standard.
Under the second order, the company will field in a cloud environment at Impact Level 6 a platform that would facilitate the integration of ground and flight test data into a federated data model, launch AI-supported exploration of insights and configure pipelines to generate test analyses.
C3 AI will work to automate key facets of MDAâs Ground Test process, consolidate test requirements from multiple stakeholders and ingest and analyze engineering data.
âAn enterprise AI platform that allows for credible assessment of combined kinetic and non-kinetic effects across domains is critical to optimize and correctly evaluate missile defense mission effectiveness,â said Ed Abbo, president and chief technology officer of C3 AI.
C3 AI secured the production OTA from the Department of Defense in December 2021.
