Amazon Web Services will provide the Department of the Navy access to a cloud computing environment under a blanket purchase agreement worth potentially $723.9 million over five years.
DON personnel will also receive training, certification and professional services from the cloud provider through the Enterprise Software License BPA, the Department of Defense said Monday.
The Navy issued the single-award, firm-fixed-price award in accordance with Section 208.74 of the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement and intends to obligate funds upon issuance of task orders.
DOD announced the ESL BPA less than two weeks after the department named AWS and three other companies as awardees of the $9 billion Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability contract.
