Three companies have won positions on a five-year, $249 million contract to repair ships in Guam for the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command.
The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract is reserved for Historically Underutilized Business Zone vendors and allocates a $3,500 guaranteed minimum for each vendor, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Cabras Marine Corp., Guam Industrial Services and Seafix are the contractors under the IDIQ award.
The initial fund obligation totaling $10,500 will come from the Navy’s fiscal 2023 operation and maintenance budget, while the rest of the financing will be awarded upon each delivery order.
