Tom Gentile, president and CEO of Spirit AeroSystems, and Ted Colbert, president and CEO of Boeing’s (NYSE: BA) defense, space and security business, have been elected to serve as chairman and vice chairman, respectively, of the Aerospace Industries Association’s board of governors for 2023.
Eric Fanning, a previous Wash100 awardee, will continue to serve as president and CEO of AIA as a result of his reelection to the position, the association said in a Nov. 21 news release.
AIA represents over 320 aerospace and defense manufacturers and suppliers that support more than 2.1 million U.S. jobs and contribute $391 billion to the country’s gross domestic product.
Fanning, Colbert and Gentile, who succeeds Mike Petters, executive vice chairman of HII’s (NYSE: HII) board and a previous Wash100 Award recipient, will also serve on AIA’s executive committee in the coming year.
