Nick Nilan, a 19-year veteran of Verizon (NYSE: VZ), has joined Fortress Information Security to serve as chief revenue officer.
Fortress said Monday he will aim to bring the company’s cybersecurity offerings to the government and utilities sectors as well as the industrial base that supports both areas.
Prior to this appointment, Nilan was sales director for the federal civilian division at Verizon and led product development for federal, state and local government customers.
He previously held various leadership positions at the telecommunications firm’s wireless network division, including as associate director for federal data solutions with oversight of a team that supported Department of Defense customers.
Orlando, Florida-based Fortress offers a suite of tools and services the company designed to help clients discover and manage infrastructure supply chain cyber risks.
