Vice Adm. Frank Whitworth, recently confirmed director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), was presented his 2022 Wash100 Award, the highest honor in the government contracting (GovCon) community, by Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson.
“Frank Whitworth is a highly decorated logistics expert and keen strategist deserving of his new role as NGA Director and his Wash100 Award,” Garrettson explained.
Vice Adm. Whitmore received his award during the 8th Annual Intel Summit, which was hosted by Potomac Officers Club on Oct. 17. As the opening keynote speaker for the event, Whitmore explored the most significant challenges and opportunities impacting the intelligence community today as well as the implications they could have on the future of intelligence.
Executive Mosaic has recognized NGA Director Frank Whitworth as a first-time recipient of the Wash100 Award for his accomplishments over his highly decorated military career as well as his leadership coming into his new role as NGA director.
“Frank is presented the Wash100 in advance for his service, which we anticipate will be an uncommon and significant contribution to our national security,” Garrettson continued.
Whitworth was nominated by President Biden in January, confirmed by the Senate in February and assumed leadership of the NGA in June. He succeeded Robert Sharp, a retired Navy vice admiral and two-time Wash100 winner
“Our nation’s leaders and our uniformed service members rely on NGA to defend this nation, protect our interests abroad, and defeat our adversaries,” said Whitworth. “We will continue to deliver ‘GEOINT advantage’ from strategic decision-makers to our forces at the tactical edge.”
Executive Mosaic is thrilled to recognize the NGA and Vice Adm. Frank Whitworth as a 2022 Wash100 Award winner. As a first-time recipient of the most significant award of consequence to the GovCon industry, Whitworth has been recognized for his grand contributions that are expected to continue into the coming year as the new NGA director.
