Reggie Brothers, former CEO of BigBear.ai (NYSE: BBAI) and two-time Wash100 Award winner, has been named an operating partner at AE Industrial Partners.
“I know firsthand the value that AEI’s operational support and strategic vision adds to its portfolio companies, and I am excited to have the opportunity to leverage my technology and defense background to assist companies as they navigate today’s evolving and complex business landscape,” Brothers said in a statement released Wednesday.
He joins the AEI after nearly two years at the helm of BigBear, which the private equity firm established in December 2020 through the combination of portfolio companies NuWave Solutions and PCI Strategic Management.
Amanda “Mandy” Long, formerly an executive at IBM (NYSE: IBM), succeeded Brothers in the chief executive post at BigBear.
Brothers previously served as chief technology officer at Peraton and director of mission applications at BAE Systems. His government work experience includes tenure as undersecretary for science and technology at the Department of Homeland Security, deputy assistant secretary for research at the Department of Defense and program manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
The nearly 35-year public and private sector veteran is a key member of Executive Mosaic’s GovCon Expert program.
