Beacon Global Strategies has hired four former government officials who will bring their knowledge of national security matters to the company’s advisory work in various practice areas such as risk analysis and government acquisition.
Michael Groen, a retired U.S. Marine Corps general who formerly led the Department of Defense’s Joint Artificial Intelligence Center and a two-time recipient of the Wash100 Award, will serve as a senior adviser within the national security technology practice, BGS said Friday.
The Washington, D.C.-based company also named Glenn Gerstell, former general counsel of the National Security Agency and a four-decade veteran of international law firm Milbank, as a senior adviser.
BGS appointed Paul Kilbride, who most recently served as a professional staff member on the defense subcommittee of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations, to a vice president role.
The firm added that Louis Lauter, former acting assistant secretary of defense for legislative affairs, will also serve as VP.
