Jay Moorman, chief technology officer of Chesapeake Technology International, has been named CEO at the Maryland-based defense software and system development services provider.
He will work closely with CTI founder Dustan Hellwig and its board of directors to drive organic growth and pursue expansion opportunities across adjacent markets that support the warfighting community, the company said Thursday.
Moorman was senior vice president of the wireless solutions division at CACI International (NYSE: CACI) before he joined CTI in May.
The two-decade industry veteran previously held various positions at LGS Innovations, Alcatel-Lucent and Bell Labs.
CTI operates as a platform company of Bluestone Investment Partners, a private equity firm targeting middle-market businesses in the defense and government services markets.
