The Vertex Company, which recently merged with Vectrus to form V2X (NYSE: VVX), will provide logistics support to the Department of the Navy’s C-12 Huron cargo and passenger airlift fleet under a potential five-year, $230 million contract from Naval Air Systems Command.
Vertex said Tuesday it will maintain aircraft and engines at the depot level, modify or overhaul propeller systems and perform site support.
Both the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps use C-12 planes to transport personnel and equipment, as well as to conduct medical evacuation, humanitarian aid and flight test operations.
The contract’s performance period consists of a three-month transition phase, a nine-month option and an additional four option years.
V2X was officially formed in July after the completion of an all-stock merger between Vectrus and The Vertex Company.
