Mark Fleming, a more than three-decade U.S. Navy veteran, has been appointed to serve as vice president of the newly created defense and government business unit of underwater remotely operated vehicle developer VideoRay.
He will oversee the segment’s business development strategy and customer support initiatives in his new capacity, VideoRay said Thursday.
Fleming joined the maritime technology provider in 2012 as director of business development for defense and government programs, a role he held for 10 years, according to his LinkedIn profile.
During his 30-year Navy career, Fleming specialized in the acquisition, test and evaluation of new explosive ordnance disposal technology.
Pottstown, Pennsylvania-headquartered VideoRay offers its submersible Mission Specialist Defender ROV technology to the Navy for use in defense and security operations including hull and pier inspections, littoral mine countermeasures and port security missions.
