Jennifer Chronis, vice president of public sector business at VMware, was recently presented her 2022 Wash100 Award by Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson during a visit to the company’s office in Reston, Virginia.
Executive Mosaic is thrilled to recognize Jennifer Chronis as a two-time Wash100 Award recipient, for leading significant company growth as well as her insatiable need for innovation as federal agencies drive to modernize their networks and platform capabilities.
Jennifer Chronis recently joined VMware back in March 2022 in her current role to facilitate the delivery of technology platforms and services to federal, state and local government, education and public safety customers.
During a recent interview, Chronis discussed how VMware is different than any other technology company that she’s worked for and how she’s capitalized on more than 25 years of digital transformation expertise as well as server and data center virtualization.
“We are uniquely positioned, like no other, to partner with them on that journey. VMware’s EPIC2 culture is also really inspiring,” she explained. “It’s great to be part of a company that views passion as a core value, along with execution, integrity, customers, and community. Finally, we’ve got really great technology and engineers! You couldn’t ask for more!”
With her second-consecutive Wash100 win, Jennifer Chronis has established herself as an elite member of the government contracting community for her visionary leadership and drive for the latest innovation in order to address the toughest modern challenges for VMware’s customers.
Jennifer Chronis spoke with GovCon Wire about her appointment with the company, how its workforce drives talent retention for the long term as well as the unique set of challenges on the business side of innovation during her recent Executive Spotlight.
During the conversation, Chronis commented on how recent partnerships have been able to assist VMware to expand its position in the federal marketplace. She described the significant partner ecosystem the company has established as well as how it impacts growth with the major cloud providers to help our customers along their multi-cloud journey.
“Cloud adoption is an ongoing journey and will absolutely be a top priority for our federal business for at least the next 24 months, if not much longer. It will take our customers some time to fully get to the cloud, but we’re right in the middle of it and really trying to help them achieve that goal as quickly as possible,” Chronis detailed.
Executive Mosaic is pleased to recognize VMware and Jennifer Chronis as a 2022 Wash100 Award recipient. As a two-time winner of the most coveted award in GovCon, she has demonstrated an elite level of accomplishment and contribution to the GovCon community that can only be recognized by the Wash100 Award.
