Jean Stack, a managing director of Baird, was recently presented her 2022 Wash100 Award by Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson during a recent visit to the company’s office.

As a Managing Director for Baird’s Global Technology & Services team, Jean Stack has over 25 years of experience advising industry-leading organizations through mergers & acquisitions, corporate divestitures, financing and other corporate strategies.
She has extensive experience in working with companies that operate in a broad range of technology and service domains including C4ISR, IT modernization, cybersecurity, space, BPO, software and other critical market segments.
Coming into 2022, Baird was coming off a fiscal year totaling more than $7.5 billion in aggregated value as a result of the company’s M&A transactions, including 21 closing deals as an exclusive financial advisor.
“By any measure, 2021 was a record-breaking year for the Government & Defense sector – transaction volume, M&A valuation, and capital inflows across private equity, corporates, venture capital, SPACs, and lenders,” said John Song, managing director for Baird and a fellow Wash100 Award recipient.
Thus far in 2022, Baird has reported its significant role in the M&A activity that has led to a key number of critical acquisitions, including the most recent transaction that Madison Dearborn Partners acquired a majority stake in Unison From Carlyle in order to enhance its innovative software offerings and growth trajectory back in July.
In addition, Baird has also been instrumental in a move for Booz Allen to acquire EverWatch, a leading provider of advanced solutions for defense and intelligence customers. EverWatch CEO John Hillen, another previous Wash100 Award winner, highlighted the deep commitment of both companies to protect U.S. national interests with advanced technology and mission intimacy.
