Carroll Lane, an aerospace and defense industry veteran, has joined Kaman (NYSE: KAMN) as a senior vice president and president of the company’s air vehicles and precision products divisions.
He succeeds the retiring Darlene Smith and brings to Kaman his expertise in strategic planning, investor relations and profit and loss management, the company said Tuesday.
Ian Walsh, chairman, president and CEO of Kaman, said Lane brings to the position his track record, leadership and expertise in the aerospace and defense sector and his addition to the company’s leadership team will be key as Kaman pursues its growth strategies and continues to position its autonomous flight technology capabilities and precision products in support of warfighters and commercial clients worldwide.
Prior to Kaman, Lane, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a naval aviator, was president of commercial engines business at Raytheon Technologies’ (NYSE: RTX) Pratt & Whitney subsidiary.
He spent nearly a decade at United Technologies Corp. and held several leadership roles, including VP of investor relations, corporate strategy executive and VP of commercial engines aftermarket organization. He also worked at advisory firm CSP Associates as a director before moving to UTC.
