Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson recently presented Al Whitmore, president of the intelligence and security sector at BAE Systems Inc., with his 2022 Wash100 Award during a visit to the company’s office.
Executive Mosaic is thrilled to recognize Al Whitmore as a five-time Wash100 Award recipient, the most prestigious award that is presented annually to those who exemplify the elite values of the government contracting (GovCon) industry.
For his fifth consecutive Wash100 win, Al Whitmore has received the award for his personal commitment and involvement in growth efforts at BAE Systems as well as the driving force of critical systems integration and modernization efforts for the company’s technical capabilities.
As president of Intelligence & Security, Al Whitmore is responsible for more than six thousand employees across the United States and overseas to lead large-scale systems engineering, integration, and sustainment services across air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains.
Most recently, BAE Systems secured a potential two-year, $299 million order from the U.S. Army to manufacture additional self-propelled howitzers and carrier ammunition-tracked vehicles. The work will occur at various BAE locations across the United States through 2024.
The recent contract award win only enhances the additional work BAE Systems has been working on under a $1.29 billion contract modification from the U.S. Army to run the operational services to the Radford Army Ammunition Plant and the production of propellant components for military use. Both contracts were awarded to BAE Systems in July 2022.
Executive Mosaic is pleased to recognize BAE Systems and Al Whitmore as a 2022 Wash100 Award recipient. As a five-time winner of the most coveted award in GovCon, he has demonstrated an elite level of accomplishment and contribution to the GovCon community.
