A General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) subsidiary will supply tritonal bomb components to the U.S. Army under a $133.2 million contract.
The service branch is procuring MK-80 series general purpose bombs from General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
GD-OTS manufactures bomb bodies in sizes of 500, 1000 and 2000 pounds for training and tactical purposes. The steel forged hardware is designed to comply with the DOD Technical Package, according to the product’s official webpage.
Army Contracting Command expects the munition provider to finish contract work by Dec. 31, 2023.
