Dan Kent, former lead technologist for VMware‘s public sector business, has been named chief technology officer at technology and managed services provider Red River.
Kent has more than two decades of experience leading growth and technology development initiatives for various companies that serve government customers, Red River said Tuesday.
At VMware, he worked with customer agencies that sought to address cloud security and operational management challenges.
He previously served as senior vice president and CTO at Idemia, SVP of U.S. public sector sales at Cisco and director of system engineering for the federal division at Nortel, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Claremont, New Hampshire-based Red River offers technology transformation support services to government and enterprise customers in the areas of cloud, DevOps, data centers, security and networking.
