Jeff Stevens, senior vice president for the surface transportation group at Ensco, has been selected by the board to serve as president of the Springfield, Virginia-based engineering company and its wholly owned subsidiaries beginning on July 2.
He will succeed Boris Nejikovsky, who will retire after a three-decade career at Ensco, the company said Friday.
Nejikovsky said Stevens’ vision and leadership, engineering, customer engagement and management experience will enable the company to bring to market technology platforms meant to help customers address critical challenges.
Stevens has been with Ensco for 23 years and held various roles, including division vice president, deputy division manager, program manager and rail engineer. As head of STG, the company’s rail business has broadened its geographical presence and tech offerings.
He was also instrumental in the capture of the potential $571 million Transportation Technology Center program with the Department of Transportation’s Federal Railroad Administration.
